ACM Talks: Designing Singapore’s contemporary fashion identity
In conjunction with the exhibition ‘#SGFASHIONNOW’, the Asian Civilisation Museum will host a discussion in defining Singapore through its fashion landscape. Nadya Wang, Editor of FAM, will highlight the prominent designers that have shaped the Singapore fashion scene including those featured in the exhibition. Priscilla Shunmugam, founder of Ong Shunmugam, will share her decade-long experiences in building her local brand with a distinct design philosophy. The discussion will be moderated by Senior Curator Jackie Yoong.

The Digital Multilogue on Fashion Education 2021: A Conference on Learning and Teaching Fashion in Theory and Practice
The Digital Multilogue of Fashion Education is a conference that gathers fashion educators in a series of presentations, panel discussions, exhibitions and more. The conference aims to discuss the pertinent questions on fashion education thus far and how the field will respond to changes in the future fashion system. FAM writer Daniela Monasterios-Tan will be presenting 'Situating Fashion Studies in Southeast Asia: Practical Methods' as part of the ‘Paper Exchange: The Learning Laboratory’ which reflects upon the current ways of teaching fashion. She will also present within a panel titled 'Towards Inclusion' with educators from Melbourne, Dubai and London.

Virtual Stitch N’ Bitch: Let’s Talk #Money&Fashion
Fashion Revolution Malaysia presents the September edition of ‘Stitch N’ Bitch’, a virtual space to demystify the common misconceptions of sustainable fashion. Fashion Revolution is a global movement advocating for ethical, transparent and eco-friendly fashion. This session will explore the themes of money and fashion, tackling topics such as balancing affordability and sustainability, brand pricing transparency and the significance of our purchases in creating demand within the fashion industry.

Attendees will receive a craft kit with all of the essential items to hand dye their own textile.
